Antiliberálním počinem roku je podle Liberálního institutu návrh na potravinovou soběstačnost
Přes sto českých liberálů vyhlásilo letošní ceny za liberální a antiliberální počin. Návrh skupiny poslanců Zdeňka Podala, Margity Balaštíkové a dalších na zvýšení potravinové soběstačnosti na 85 % vyhodnotili hlasující jako nejvíce antiliberální počin uplynulého roku. Porazil zákaz nočního vycházení a armádu hlídající hranice ČR.
„Vedle virové pandemie se potravinová soběstačnost v mnoha případech jeví jako v současnosti nejefektivnější známý nástroj, jak zdecimovat lidskou populaci,“ upozorňuje hlavní ekonom Liberálního institut Jiří Nohejl. „Tento návrh je protispotřebitelský, neekologický, protiprávní a pomáhá dominantním hráčům, jako je Agrofert. Zcela zaslouženě si tak odnáší cenu Alexandera Bacha za antiliberální počin roku,“ komentuje ředitel Liberálního institutu Martin Pánek.
V kategorii liberální počin roku zvítězilo snížení daně z příjmu fyzických osob (DPFO) a zvýšení slevy na poplatníka. Na druhém místě se umístilo zrušení daně z nabytí nemovitých věcí. „Snížení daní zvyšuje svobodu jednotlivce, nechá nám více peněz v kapsách, které zvládneme použít efektivněji než vláda. Cenu Karla Havlíčka Borovského za liberální počin roku 2020 si tak odnáší snížení daní. Dokonce vyhrálo před jiným snížením, dokonce zrušením jiné daně,“ glosuje Pánek.
Kategorie liberální a antiliberální počin roku byly poprvé vyhlášeny v roce 2018, kdy zvítězily kontroly svateb jako antiliberální počin a návrh na zrušení zákazu prodeje o státních svátcích. V loňském roce zvítězila žádost policie o automatický systém na rozpoznávání obličejů (antiliberální) a návrh zákona na liberalizaci taxislužeb (liberální).
Počínaje letošním rokem také Liberální institut vyhlašuje cenu poroty za Bludný balvan ekonomie za nejhorší ekonomický výrok. Letošním laureátem se stala Jana Maláčová za výrok: „Strašně mě unavuje otázka, jestli si (mimořádný příspěvek důchodcům) můžeme dovolit, nebo ne a kde na to vezmeme. To je podle mě taková hloupá, plytká diskuze, kde na to vezmeme.“ Martin Pánek udělení bludného balvanu komentoval: „Má dáti – dal, to je základ ekonomie. Každý výnos má svůj náklad. Kde na to vezmeme, je principiální otázka, kterou by si měl pokládat každý politik. Obzvlášť absolvent ekonomické univerzity, jako je paní ministryně.“ Hlavní ekonom Liberálního institutu Jiří Nohejl dodává: „Zvláště v roce, kdy se den daňové svobody, převážně díky ekonomické recesi způsobené probíhající pandemií, posouval směrem ke konci roku, bychom měli ještě seriózněji debatovat otázku, jakým způsobem jsou financovány jakékoli výdaje státu. Letos ani příští rok nelze totiž očekávat, že bychom další výdaje státu mohli financovat z hospodářského růstu, jako tomu bylo v letech minulých.“
Zatímco liberální a antiliberální cenu volí příznivci Liberálního institutu v tajné volbě, bludný balvan ekonomie volí analytici Liberálního institutu.
